Woke up so tired- didn’t sleep til 4am when I requested atavan. I was just up thinking about how great this year is about to be and being all emotional. Stillll waiting on WBC to start climbing it could be any moment now. Amy says I will be out of here by Friday.
This morning the crew came in and made jokes about my fight with the floor yesterday. They also brought my discharge packet! Amy sat down with us for an hour and went over the meds I will be on for a year post transplant and the bloodwork regimen I will follow for the first 3 months. It was the only time I’ve seen that girl get emotional, she’s so happy for me and told me I’ve done so good.
Today I am still doing antibiotics every 8 hours, neupogen at 2. I’m on fall watch and not allowed to get up alone anymore.
Other than that, things are finally starting to wind down around here. Will be buying my plane ticket home for this weekend, and I’ll be back in my own bed next week.
This hasn’t been easy in the slightest, but I haven’t felt this happy and hopeful in almost 5 years.
God is good ❤️
